Janet Lee Miller
Private Service: Saturday, July 31, at Freedom Worship Baptist Church
Janet Lee Miller, 79, of Blanchester, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Regency Hospital in Cincinnati.
Janet was born February 26, 1931 in Tulsa OK, the daughter of the late Walter and Martha McGuirer Freeland.
She was a 1949 graduate of Wilmington High School and 1952 graduate of Christ Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Public Health Nurse for the Cincinnati Board of Health and had retired from Clinton Memorial Hospital after 24 years of service in nursery and delivery. Janet was a charter member of the Blanchester Life Squad and Fire Auxiliary, and a member of the Women's Republican Club.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Miller (former Blanchester mayor) ; children, David (Ronetta Murphy) Miller of Blanchester, son in-law, Steve (daughter, Donna, dec.) Ottesen of Mason, Dennis (Margery) Miller of Clarksville, Donald (dec.) and Diana Miller of Goshen; grandchildren, Charlotte and Stephanie Ottesen; great grandson, Harold Fout; brother, Wesley (Emily) Freeland of Springdale; and special friends, Gene and Crissy Fout.
In addition to her daughter, Donna Ottesen and son, Donald, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Freeland.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family on Saturday at the Freedom Worship Baptist Church with burial in the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery.
