Carl L Probasco

Carl L. Probasco, 90, died July 8, 2017 at Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington. He is survived by his wife, Vivian, whom he married September 5, 1976.  He was born August 15, 1926 near Wilmington, the son of the late Donald and Lula Bevan Probasco. Carl was a birthright Quaker, a graduate of Wilmington High School and Cincinnati Barber College. He had barbered in Wilmington, Dayton, and Xenia, and retired from Carl's Barber Shop in Xenia at the age of 70.  In his early years he enjoyed horseback riding and in his later years he enjoyed motorcycling.  Carl was also a former member of Wilmington Senior Center and the Elks.  Other survivors include son Thomas (Julia) Probasco, daughter Laura (James) Patterson, grandchildren Christopher Probasco, Lori Probasco, Sarah (Josh) Groh, Samuel Patterson and Michelle (Chris) Donegia, great-grandchildren Grace Groh, Katelyn Groh, and Allison Groh, a step son Ronald Kim (Jeri) Ewing, step grandchildren Brent (Mandi) Ewing, Melissa (Mike) Adams and Robyn (Clint) Streetman, step great grandchildren Connor Ewing, Tate Adams,Trace Adams, Trip Adams, Cole Streetman and Wyatt Streetman. Nephews Robert Gaddis and Charles Probasco, nieces Becky Combs and Jane Ann Eckhart.  He was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Gaddis, brothers Lewis Probasco, William Probasco and a step son Robert Rick Ewing.  Services will be at the convenience of the family under the direction of Littleton Funeral Home with burial at the Sabina cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
