Leonard M. Wical

Leonard M. Wical, 92, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.  He was born on September 30, 1924, in Clinton County, to Thurman and Leona Brown Wical.  He was preceded in death by former wife Suzanne DuFau Wical.

A 1942 graduate of Wilmington High School, Leonard joined the Navy and served during WWII.  He worked for NCR of Dayton for 36 years.  He participated in the VFW, Eagles Lodge, Elks, Forty & Eight, was past commander of the American Legion Post 49, past Master of the Masonic Lodge, and a longtime member of the Clinton County Honor Guard.

Leonard is survived by his children: Susan (Barry) Wedding of Wilmington, Sandy (Dr. Thomas) Neville of Louisville, CO, Steven, Lt. Col. Ret, (Carmen) Wical of Huntsville, AL, Scott (Shannon) Wical of Oakridge, TN; 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. 

Leonard was also preceded in death by his siblings and was the last of his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina; friends may call from 10-11 a.m.

Memorial contributions are preferred and strongly suggested to: American Legion Post 49 Memorial Squad Campaign, Ohio Veterans Home Activities Fund and Hospice of Hope.
