Martha (Margie) Mae DeBold

Martha Mae (Margie) DeBold, 95, passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, March 6, 2017.

Born in Marysville on February 22, 1922, Margie was the daughter of the late John and Grace Thompson.  She was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, class of 1940.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 65 years, Kenneth C. DeBold.  She was also predeceased by: brothers Hal Thompson and Woodrow Thompson and sister Mary Blair.

Margie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Lees Creek United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed sewing, watching baseball and camping.  She and Kenneth loved playing cards with dear friends, fishing trips to Canada and spending winters in Florida.  Margie was always thoughtful, loving and had a nurturing spirit.  Her quick wit, sense of humor and warm heart will be cherished by all who knew her.

Margie is survived by her children: Jack DeBold, Mary (Jerry) Preston and Dan DeBold.  She will forever be missed by her grandchildren: Jami DeBold, Jay (Christina) DeBold, Brooke DeBold, Blaine (Racquel) Preston, Michelle (Jerad) Clayton, Kelli (Derek) Jamison and Wesley (Jessica) DeBold.  She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.  Margie will also be missed by dear friend Jerri Sue Stackhouse.

Special thanks to fellow residents and the loving staff at Carriage Court who provided such wonderful care and peace of mind.

Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Circleville.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11am to 1pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Centerville Cemetery in Lees Creek.
