Wanda W. (Wagner) Johnson

Wanda W. Johnson, age 91, of Sabina, died on Friday evening, October 6, 2017, at Warren Butler Hospice.

Born on her family farm in Hopkinsville, KY, April 16, 1926, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Maudie Hardison Wagner.

Wanda graduated from Mayfield High School and, later, attended Memphis Teaching College and Miami Jacobs.  She served in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII.Wanda was a member of Center United Methodist Church, VFW and the American Legion. 

She was a retired social worker from The State of Ohio Adult Protective Services and began her career as a nurse at Dayton State and the Livingston Nursing Home.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Milton Johnson.

She is survived by children: Cheryl (John) Luke of Springboro, and Milton Johnson of Franklin, IN.

Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: April (Harold) Davidson, Heather (Doug) Yeager, James and Jason Luke; great grandchildren: Amber (Justin) McKinniss, Michael (Amanda) Montgomery, Levi Davidson, Austin James Luke, Jacob Cade Luke, Camden and Colby Yeager; along with great-great grandchildren, Autumn, Mitchell and Annalyse Montgomery and Kylar McKenniss.

Funeral services will be on at 3pm Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7.  Burial will be in the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
