Chad Lewis Hastings, age 43, of Sabina, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Born in Chillicothe on August 1, 1975, he was the son of the late Clarence Lewis and Shirley Mae (Mohler) Hastings.
Chad was a devoted family man. He was always doing things with his family’s happiness in mind. He was unselfish, kind and caring; a good father who spoiled his wife. Chad was very creative, had a wonderful sense of humor and would do anything for anyone. He loved fishing and was teaching himself the art of woodworking. He also loved surprises, even though he was terrible at them! Chad was always willing to learn new things and always willing to share that he had learned.
Chad leaves behind his loving wife, Kristin (Douglas) Hastings. The two were married April 10, 2009.
Also left to cherish his memory are children: Chad “CJ” Lewis Hastings, Jr., Aislinn Gabrielle Bowermaster, and Ainsley Mae Hastings; sister, Jan (Guy) Bivens of Mount Sterling; brother, Bobby (Gabby) Hastings of Columbus; sister in-law, Becky Hastings; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Chad is preceded in death by a sister, Lori Palmer, and a brother, Michael Hastings.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Fayette and Clinton County Humane Societies.
Friends may come to pay respects and share memories with Chad’s family at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Friday, November 9, 2018, from 6-8pm.
