Forrest M. Shank, Jr., age 95, formerly of Sabina, passed on Thursday, June 21, 2018.
Born in Blanchester on March 16, 1923, the son of the late Forrest M., Sr. and Mable (Achor) Shank.
Forrest was a 1940 graduate of Blanchester High School. He served in the Army during WWII and later retired, after 32 years, from Cincinnati Milacron. Forrest enjoyed woodworking, crafting and quilting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Crain) Shank; siblings: Wanda Dixon, Ruth Schmidt, Betty Metzger, and Mary Schmidt; along with special friend, Joyce Eicher.
Forrest is survived by his daughter, Joyce Allen. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Nicole (Joe) Williford, Hillary (Jeff) Tudor, and Geoffrey Allen; great-grandchildren: Eli Williford, Emma Williford, and Natalie Tudor; along with siblings: Jean Cravens, Harriett Collins, Lewis Shank and Donald Shank.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Honor Flight or the American Diabetes Association.
A funeral service will be held at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 1pm. There will be no visitation. Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
