I will always remember Ruth Esther's amazing energy and her strong love and enthusiasm for her family. She always always always welcomed me warmly and expressed strong interest in everyone around her. I am glad she is at peace.

I am so sorry hearing of Mrs. Hussey's passing. She was one of the most caring teachers I ever had. She cared about her students even after they graduated. I am dyslexic and it was found until the end of my freshman year at Wilmington College. She was an alumni luncheon soon after ward. I was one of the servers at it. When I told her that they finally figured out what was causing my writing problem, I am dyslexic, she broke down in tears. She told me she knew I was but could not convince 2 other teachers to sign off so I could be tested. She felt that she had failed me even though she proof read a few papers I did in high school to help as much as she could. She also taught me what it was like to be that caring teacher and I have tried to live up to her example thru my teaching career.

We, the members of Ada Chapel, send our deepest sympathy to the family members of Ruth Hussey.
Ruth was a welcome addition to our Church. And who could think of Ruth without thinking of Audrey Haines. They both brought guidance, wisdom, and reassurance to help our Church prevail.
Again you have our deepest sympathy. The family of friends at Ada Chapel Friends Meeting.

Mrs. Hussey was my English teacher at Hillsboro High School. I loved her class and the books she had us read. She challenged us to read genres that we had not read. My condolences to her family.
