Virginia Kay (Bradley) Haines

Virginia Kay Haines, 72, of Sabina, went to be with her loved ones at 1:40am on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, with her family by her side.

Born in Wilmington on December 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Walsh James and Wendell E. Bradley, Sr.

Kay was a Clinton Massie graduate and worked for International Paper, and later, Airborne.  She enjoyed playing slots and BINGO and was an avid Bluegrass Festival enthusiast.  Kay’s family was very important to her; she loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything.

Kay is survived by her loving partner, Carroll Michael, of Sabina.  The two have been together for 40 years.

Also left to cherish her memory are children: Bryan (Bobbie) Haines of Jamestown, Mary (Farrell) Rudd of Washington Court House, and Michael (Brandy Ratliff) Haines of Sabina; beloved grandchildren: Casey Haines, Kylie Fenstermaker, Trevor Haines, Kendra Haines, Mason Haines, Leigha Young, Heather Brock, Tiffany Graves, Dustin Graves, Austin Rudd, Hunter Rudd, Savannah Pritchard, Hayley Haines, Haydyn Haines; step-grandchildren: Josh and Jon Brakeall and Levi Zurface; along with 23 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are siblings: Eleanor (Dick) Wilson, Wendell (Jinghui) Bradley, Jr, Bill (Ruthie) Bradley, and Steve (Pam) Bradley; 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eileen Bradley; daughter, Theresa Haines-Jones; and granddaughter, Sierra Seitz.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 12-2pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  

Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
