Andrew J. Therrien, age 84, of Washington Court House, passed peacefully at home on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Born on October 4, 1939, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Douphus and Pauline Therrien.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Woolums Therrien, who passed in 2007.
He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Andy worked in construction, as a custodian for the St. Colmon of Cloyne Catholic Church in Washington Court House, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved construction, fishing, boxing – in his younger years, playing scratch-offs (having once won $100,000!), and loved spending time at the Gate Keepers Motorcycle Club “Club House”. Andy was the first resident in a Habitat for Humanity home in Fayette County, after which, he aided in the construction of every Habitat home built in the county.
He is survived by his children: Donna Jo (Michael) Kazee, Andrew (Pam) Therrien, II, Misty Jo (William) Bishop, Joshua (Jamie) Therrien, Terrence (Cassidy) Therrien, Michael Therrien, and Chance Therrien; along with 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and special friends Mike and Ruth Armstrong. And his canine companion "Bella".
In addition to his wife, Andy was preceded in death by siblings: Robert, Janet and Johnny Therrien.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 5-7pm. The Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M Thursday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 19, at 12 Noon at St. Colmon of Cloyne, Washington Court House. Burial will follow at St. Colmon Cemetery.
