Betty A. Ison

Betty A. Ison, age 88, of Bainbridge and formerly of Sabina and Washington Court House, passed away on Monday March 9, 2026, at the home of her daughter and son in-law, Dawn and Jeff White, who had been caring for Betty for 1 1/2 years.

Born in London on November 7, 1937, she was the daughter of Herbert Young and Margaret Mills Young Armstrong and Ray Armstrong.

Betty retired after many years as a receptionist and administrator for Dr. Ken Martin and then went on to be a fulltime care giver and companion for several people until just a few years ago.

Betty is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Dawn and Jeff White of Bainbridge.  Also left to cherish her memory are Betty's grandchildren: Jason (Kris) White, Ashley (Kasey) McCloskey and Lindsey Bowles; great grandchildren: Josh, Raegan, Alani, Kenna, Khia, Kaden, Kailyn and Kalli; and great-great grandchildren: Kinsley, Hudson and Vince.

She is also survived by her siblings: Bill Young, Bonnie (Jim Ellerbrock) DeBold, Jim (Sandy) Armstrong, Judy (Randy Knox) Armstrong, and David Jones. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Adams and Donald Ison; daughter, Ronda Bowles, and her son in-law, Mike "Fuzz" Bowles, as well as her brother, Dennis.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina; visitation will take place, at the funeral home, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery, Washington Court House.
