Brenda L. Gaskins May

Brenda L. Gaskins May, age 75, of Leesburg, Ohio, passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 17, 2026.

Born in Sabina, Ohio, on October 9, 1950, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Doris V. (Weller) Gaskins.

Brenda was a 1968 East Clinton Graduate and was the fourth generation of Gaskins Printing. She began working, alongside her family, in 1966. Brenda enjoyed crafting and sewing and was a devoted ‘dog-mom’.

Brenda was the clerk for the former Sabina Cemetery Association and, alongside her family, placed flags on the graves of Veterans – a service her father started in 1954 that is still practiced by the Gaskins family today. Very community centric, Brenda was devoted to the town of Sabina. She was a longtime supporter of East Clinton Schools, a member of the Sabina Historical Society and the former Sabina 2000. In years past, she was active in supplying food baskets for families in need; when that giving ended, Brenda generously still gave funds to those who needed assistance. Her generosity was quiet and steadfast.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Virginia Vandervort of Sabina, Kathleen Lutter of Mabank, Texas and Sylvia Pruitt of Burkesville, Kentucky; her brother, Charles (Diana) Gaskins of Sabina; and host of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place st Sabina Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
