Luke 15:20: "He felt compassion for his son and ran out to meet him in an embrace and kissed him."

Carl Clay Huff, 77, of Spring Town, Texas passed away on October 2, 2026. He was born in Sabina, Ohio, on April 1st, 1949. He was married to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Carol Huff, for 59 years. They had three children: Sondra Sheppard (husband Glen Sheppard), Phillip Huff, and Daniel Huff (wife Melissa Huff). He had four grandchildren: Vivian, Jesse, Jerry (Gerald), and Shannon, whom he loved dearly and cherished.

Carl was a decorated Marine and served in the Vietnam War, where he received two Purple Hearts. He loved wearing his Marine Corps hat and praying for our military. He was a man after God's own heart—a sweet and gentle husband, father, and grandfather. He worked for Ferguson Enterprises for 20 years prior to his retirement. Some of his favorite things to do were singing beautiful worship songs to the Lord and spending time with his family. He was an amazing Master Griller to his family, and no one could cook a steak like him. If you ever needed food, help, prayer, or someone to talk to, Carl was always there for anyone at any time. He was a giver and was the BEST tipper that ever lived. There is so much more that can be said...he is loved dearly and is the cornerstone of his family.

Carl had a large family. His surviving brothers are Bill (Bonnie), Raymond (Jeanie), Keith, and Wayne (Elma).

Those family members who preceded him in death were his brothers, Cluitt, Stan, David, Frank, Zeak, and John; his two sisters, Vanilla and Faye; and his mother and father, Dorothy Huff and Lawrence Huff.

His favorite passage from the Bible is Psalms 91:11-16.

If there is anything Carl could ask you now, it would be, “Do you know Jesus? Let me introduce you to Him. He is the rock on which I stand. Take Him into your heart today.”

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus the Lord.”

Accept the Lord today!
