Chad M. Henson

Chad Michael Henson, 43, of Wilmington, died Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his home.

Born May 27, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Peggy Mercer of Grove City and Michael Henson of Sanford, Florida.

Chad was a graduate of Grove City High School, where he played quarterback on the school's football team. Following graduation, he attended Wittenberg University in Springfield. He was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ. Chad was employed in residential and commercial lawn care.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Ethan, both of Wilmington; a sister Lindsey Henson of Columbus; and the mother of his children, Heather Browning, of Wilmington.

He was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate, Angie Henson, who passed in June 2019; his brother Jeremy; and his stepfather, Ben Mercer. He was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Due the Coronavirus restrictions, the family will hold a private service, at the gravesite of Chad's brother, Jeremy, in the New Antioch Cemetery, at a later date.
