Charles E. Von Bergen

Charles Edward Von Bergen of Sabina, Ohio, passed away October 21, 2024, at the age of 84.

Born in Dover, Ohio in 1940, Chuck was a graduate of Dover High School, Wilmington College, and served overseas in the US Army.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents R.J. “Jack” & Ruth Annette Beller Von Bergen and his sister Ruth Ann Von Bergen.

After a career in livestock feed sales, Chuck retired from two top level feed companies: Central Soya and Kent Feeds Inc. In retirement, Chuck enjoyed fishing, gardening, socializing, telling “Dad” jokes, and of course playing Euchre with friends and family.

Chuck is survived by his wife Lois Ann Steiner Von Bergen of Sabina; his son, Eric Von Bergen (Robin) of Wilmington; his daughter, Paige Tinker (Matt) and grandchildren Noah and Ellie Grace Tinker of Emerald Isle, NC.

Chuck has donated his body to the Ohio State University in hopes of being a vital part in the training of future medical practitioners.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sabina Church of Christ/youth playground

A visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm. until 2:30 pm at the Sabina Church of Christ with a luncheon to follow at the COVE. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.
