Connie Sue (Holmes) Mckinney

Connie Sue Holmes McKinney, 63 of Wilmington, passed away unexpectantly at Clinton Memorial on Thursday December 22, 2022. Born in Washington C.H. on May 10, 1959 the daughter of the late Raymond Junior and Betty Lou Fawcett Holmes. Connie was a 1977 graduate of Wilmington-Laurel Oaks High School and was a licensed cosmologist. While in high school she was a member of the symphonic band, Sea Scouts and a member of VICA. She was most recent a student aid at the Wilmington City Middle School and had formerly worked at Chakeres Theater, Golden Corral, Allied Technology, the Shoe Factory. Also involved selling Avon and Friendly Home Parties where she was the top sales leader. Served in the Girl Scouts for many years and is currently the Leader of Troop 31609. Connie had also been actively involved in genealogy, where she was a member of the Clinton, Fayette, Adams, Brown and Highland Genology groups. She recognized as a First Family in Clinton County and Settlers, Builders and Civil War Family Groups. She was also on the planning committee for the 45 reunion as well as the all year reunion for Laurel Oaks. Connie’surviving family includes her sisters Judy (Terry) Hatfield and Debbie (James) Wilder, niece and nephew Mikala and Dakota Hatfield and her children; Robert (Jessica) McKinney and Elizabeth (Deanna) McKinney. Grandchildren; AJ Parsons, Ariel, Lilly, Alexander and Daniel McKinney, Breanna-McKinney Kittel and Malia Benner.. Great grandchildren; Mathias Kittel and Johnathan Vaccaro Pollins. And her former husband Daniel McKinney. Connie was preceded in death by her son, Scotty and daughter Jennifer. Fiancé Allen Maple and her parents. Visitation will be on Friday at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at Noon.  Contributions may be made to the Littleton Funeral Home to help with expenses.
