Dale A. Cline, age 90, of Sabina, passed peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
Born on August 16, 1926, in Fayette County, he was the son of Leeman L. and Ada L. ‘Riley’ Cline.
Dale served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was in the third army under General Patton. Following his service, he worked in the machine department for 48 years at General Motors. A lifelong farmer, Dale was also a member of the Bowersville Church of Christ. He was currently attending the Jamestown Church of Christ, where he was a member of the Community Seniors.
Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Malva Belle ‘Hall’ Cline.
He is survived by his children: Karen (Dale) Church and Larry Cline, all of Jamestown, and Chris (Judy) Cline, of Sabina. Also left to cherish Dale’s memory are grandchildren: Tammy Kincaid, Bobby (Cassie) Cline, and Jim (Ali) Church; great grandchildren: Marah Martindill, Marissa Kincaid, Jimmy and Matthew Church, Lilly Cline and Robby Cline; great-great grandson, Mason Martindill; sister, June Springer; and cousin, Ivy (Virgil) Wallace.
In addition to his wife, Dale is preceded in death by siblings: Lucille Willis, Bernice Rice, and Howard Cline.
Family will receive friends at the Jamestown Church of Christ on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 4-6pm. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon, on Monday, January 30, 2017, at the church with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Dayton. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
