Danny J. Vance

Danny Jesse Vance, age 55, of Sabina, passed peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 25, 1965, he was the son of the late Daryl Vance and Jean Sprinkle (David) McConaughey, who survive in Wilmington.

Danny is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Inlow Vance.  The two were united in marriage on May 29, 1987.

Danny attended Wilmington Schools and Laurel Oaks.  He worked, for nearly 25 years, at the Randall Company as a machinist, and later, at Creative Fab & Weld in Leesburg.  Danny attended the Wilmington Church of God.  He loved to fish, mushroom hunt, camp, spend time outdoors, and enjoyed grilling.  A huge NASCAR fan, Danny was happiest when spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, dog, Shelby, and cat, Zoey.

In addition to his mother and wife, Danny is survived by two daughters:  Amber (Brandon) Wheeler of Piketon and Jesse (Cody) Miller of Washington Court House.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Gauge and Ryan Wheeler, and Bristen and Levi Miller; siblings: Ladonna Scaggs, Robert ‘Bob’ (Debbie) Vance, LaVonne (Jimmy) McCandless, and Dawn (Charles) Richards; special nephew Nathan Clay; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 4-6pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 11am.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Facial coverings will be required and social distancing observed.
