Dean Hawk

Dean Hawk. 89. of Sabina, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Adena- Fayette Memorial Hospital.

Born in Bloomingburg, December 1, 1935, the son of Charles and Bertha Brust Hawk.

Dean was preceded by his first wife, Mary Joyce Reed Hawk whom he married on June 19 ,1955 and she passed on August 15, 2018. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Betty Roberds Hawk whom he married October 11, 2020.  She was wonderful in loving and caring for him.  He also dived into her family gaining a whole new group of people who cared for him and loved him.

He was a graduate of Bloomingburg High School and also the University of Cincinnati in 1974 with a bachelor's in industrial engineering, working most of his adult life for Cincinnati Milacron, first as a welder and after his college degree progressed to Director of Purchasing for the Wilmington plant of Milacron.  Dean was very active in church and community minded, serving as the Cub Scout Master, Pack 63 of Sabina, Little Leagues baseball coach, Church Board Member of Heritage Memorial and past Mayor of Sabina.  His loves were his Family, Church, Indy Car racing and watching his grandson's sports.  He also loved building things such as go-carts, porch railings and rebuilt campers as hobbies.  He also loved to fly model airplanes.  Dean also enjoyed working at the Rose Avenue community center serving food to those in need,  

Dean is survived by his son Keith and his wife Judy of Centerville. Grandchildren; Matthew, Ryan (Miranda) and A, J. (Laura), and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Kristy and Kimmy also his siblings, Dennis, Charlene, Bob, Ray and Don. Dean had the great fortune to have a very special extended family including his wife Betty and family; Roni Terry, Lisa (David) Cooper, Betsy Miller, Christian (Tim) Bennett and Risa (Chris) Price.  Along with 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.  Also, a bonus granddaughter Kaci Goff.

Visitation will be on Tuesday December 2, 2025, from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at Noon at the Heritage Church, Washington C.H.

A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall and immediately after the meal we will proceed to the Sabina Cemetery for burial.
