Donald Arthur Fisher, of New Vienna, was born June 13, 1933 to Emerson Arthur and Thelma Fisher Fisher. He went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Donald was a lifetime farmer in Clinton County and was honored to have 2 Century Farms. Along with farming, he worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 31 years. He enjoyed his antique vehicles and taking them to parades and shows where he won many awards. He also enjoyed traveling in the off season after retiring from the ODOT. Donald had an inquiring mind and loved to learn about things in the places he was visiting. He never met a stranger and always had a question to ask to satisfy that craving for knowledge.
Donald is survived by his wife of 47 years, Virginia Byrnes Fisher, who was his best friend and excellent care giver for the last few years.
He is also survived by daughters: Pamela Fisher (Lewis) Brady of Florida and Lisa Fisher (Randy) Klaue of Antioch, and son, Vincent Charles (Jona) Fisher of New Vienna. Donald had 5 grandchildren: Ehren Wade (Julie) Newberry of FL, Michelle Newberry (Brandon) Fries of TN, Douglas Ray Klaue of FL, Adam Kendall Klaue of New Vienna and Emma Grace Fisher of New Vienna. He was also the very proud Great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren.
