Donald E. Snider, age 65, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
Born on December 13, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Martha Bray and Norman Snider.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Bogan Snider, who passed on January 10, 2017.
A Little Miami High School graduate, Don worked in the prison system. He began as a guard and became captain just before his retirement. Don was a former member of the Jaycees. He was an avid coin collector and a true history buff, especially war history.
Don is survived by his daughters: Kristina (Bradley) Snider and Angela (Andrew) Chaffin; grandchildren: Chloe Gordon, Aaron Snider, Ace Storer, Chance (Taylor) Frye and Alexis Chaffin; along with several great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are siblings: Russell Bray, Mildred Long, Jennifer Melzer and Paul Snider, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline.
Family will receive friends for a time of visiting and remembering Don, at Littleton Funeral Home, from 2-4pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Burial, at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, will take place privately, at the convenience of the family.
