Donald Wayne Stryker, age 79, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord at 2:32 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. Don was born in Jamestown, Ohio, on February 25, 1944, son of the late Paul E. and Vera L. (Landen) Stryker.
He was married to Jennifer (Mason) Stryker for over 60 years and resided in the Port William area. He attended the Port William School until it’s closing in 1961 and later graduated from Wilmington High School in 1962. He was retired from General Motors in Vandalia where he worked for 31 years. He later worked part-time for Clinton Electric & Plumbing in Wilmington. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, farming, deer hunting, automobiles, trips to Gatlinburg and was very active at the Port William Church where he served on numerous committees. Don is most remembered for riding a horse named “King” during his youth and playing basketball for the Port William School.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Mason) Stryker, his three children, daughter Sandie (James) Wingo, and sons, Ronald (Martha) Stryker, and Kenneth (AElainia) Stryker, all of Wilmington, grandchildren Jessica (Myles) Halye, Elaine (Joel) Carman, Isaac Wingo, Peyton Stryker of Tallahassee Florida, Loghan Kinsey of Cincinnati and Makenna Kinsey, great grandchildren Abigail Halye, Landon Halye, Emrie Carman and Cameron Carman and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister Paula Elliot, a brother Earl “Will” and wife Janice Stryker.
The family would especially like to thank Hospice nurse, Rob Joost and Hospice Pastor, Scott Mishler for their assistance during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Port William Church located at 241 Main St., Port William, Ohio. Butch Hooper will be officiating the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. with graveside service to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
