Donna L. Smallridge, 77, of New Vienna, passed away on Thursday morning, May 25, 2017 at her home. Born April 2, 1940 in Ross County near Greenfield, the daughter of Jacob Donald and Ludene Darlington Rife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1986 and brother Robert Rife. Donna was a graduate of Fairfield High School, Ohio University and retired from teaching having taught in Washington C.H., Wilmington and East Clinton School Districts. She was a member of New Vienna United Methodist Church, the UMW Women’s Group and the New Vienna Jr. Mother’s Club. Donna loved her animals, traveling, flowers, gardening and was an avid bowler. She is survived by her children; Marsha (Eric McLagan) Smallridge and Donnie (Jenny) Smallridge all of New Vienna; sister in laws Edna Mae Rife, Anna Ellis; brother in law Don Reynolds and her loving dog “The Boom". Friends may call at the New Vienna United Methodist Church on Monday from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11am at the church. Burial will be in the New Vienna IOOF Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home is serving the family.
