Doris P. (Thornburg) Wood

Doris P. Wood, age 76, of Wilmington, passed on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

Born to the late Charles and Glessie Thornburg in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on February 3, 1943, she was one of twelve children

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill E. Wood.  The two were united in marriage on January 13, 1962.

Doris worked at MAC Tool and Ferno Washington.  After moving to Dallas, Texas, Doris worked for Baylor University Hospital.

In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by children: Kim (Don) Ison of Sabina, Lynette (Will) Houck of Thurman, Ohio, and Damon (Jennifer) Wood of Orcutt, California.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Donnie Ison, Matt Ison, Preslie Houck, Cameron Wood and Ashley Wood; great grandchildren: Ruby and Dexter; along with several siblings, nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and great grandson, Donnie Ison, IV.

Family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina from 12-1 pm, when funeral services will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
