Esther Weaver, age 70, of Leesburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home January 26, 2026. At 1:10pm, Esther finally won her fight against cancer by passing from this life into the healing arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Middlefield, Ohio to David and Elizabeth Troyer.
Esther loved to reminisce about her growing up years in Holliday, Tennessee. She had a special bond with her siblings. She taught Sunday School at Door of Hope Church for 18 years until finally retiring due to the toll cancer took on her health. She got tremendous joy and satisfaction from being the “little ones” Sunday School teacher. She deeply loved her family and especially loved spending time with and hearing about her grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents David and Elizabeth Troyer and her sister Malinda Byler. Esther is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Weaver, who cared for her day and night through the last year of her sickness. She is survived by her children: Matthew (Tracy) Weaver, Steven (LeAnn) Weaver, and Kristina (Daniel) Stoltzfus. Her loving grandchildren; McKenzie (Galen) Yoder, Braden, Trey, Isaiah, Dreven, Selah, Taliya, Shiloh, Cadence, Jasmine, Liberty, Alanna, Destinee, Layne, Hudson, Draden, and Driana. She is also survived by her siblings: Jacob, Sara, Elwin, Mary, John, David, Allen, Alma, Betty, and Marvin and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on January 28, 2026, at Faith & Light Mennonite Church at 12810 Barger Rd, Leesburg, Ohio 45135 from 2:00 – 4:30pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be January 29, 2026, at 10:00am at Dove Church 1499 Rombach Ave, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Burial will follow the funeral services at Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William, Ohio
