Evalyn Jane Warehime, age 87, of South Charleston, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Born in Clinton County on January 18, 1939, Janie was the daughter of the late Alice (Ora) Woods and Dwight (Lorene) Babb.
Janie was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed working puzzles and crocheting. She was also an avid gardener who loved flowers and yardwork. During her time in Sabina and afterward, Janie attended the Sabina Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Charlie Wilson, Donald Thomas and Jim Warehime; siblings: Charles 'Buck' Babb, Thomas Woods, and Marsha Hickey; along with her son-in-law, Gary Gottfried.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mitzie Gottfried of South Charleston, Chuck Wilson of Cedarville, and Toby Lee Thomas of Springfield; beloved grandchildren: Renee (Ryan Werling) Hatert, Craig (Bonnie) Hartman, and Brock Melvin; great-grandchildren: Carson, Adelyn, Raelynn, Charlotte, Dylan and Ray. Janie is also survived by her sister, Luanne (Jerry) Palmer of California; and brother, Tim (Shari) Woods of Sabina.
Donations in Janie’s name can be made to Ohio's Hospice.
Visitation will take place at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 1-2pm, with the funeral service and burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
