Floyd Samuel Lansing Sr., 86 of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Born May 6, 1936, near the town of Idaho in Pike County, the son of Ollie and Myrtle (Mustard) Lansing. He was preceded in death by his wife Orpha Lou (Thomas) Lansing, March 28, 2013. He spent much of his life working closely with his brothers at Lansing Lumber, cutting timber, for more than 58 years, retiring at the age of 82. He also enjoyed coon hunting, trap shooting, working in the hay field, and taking care of his cattle. He is survived by his children; Sam (Carmella) Lansing Jr., Betty Jo (Bob) Vanhorn, Dean (Leigh) Lansing, Sue (John) Hibbs and Mary (Doug) Ahrmann. His 7 grandchildren William Lansing, Adam Ahrmann, Abby Johnson, Whitney Cosler, Joey Ahrmann, Michael and Alix Lansing and his 10 great grandchildren. His twin brother, Lloyd Lansing. Also his beloved dogs “Katie and Sandy”. Floyd was preceded by his daughter Jenny, who passed away March 28, 1978, and siblings, Flora, Katherine, Lina, Faye, Merlie, Ethel, Jim, Emory, Cecil and Everett. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 4-7 P.M. at the Littleton Funeral Home, in Sabina. Floyd's funeral service will follow on Thursday, March 9, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
