Frances Jean (Morgan) Ames

Frances J. Ames, age 92, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2020, in London.

She was born November 28, 1927, in Brown County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Aliene Hicks Morgan.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ames. The two were united in marriage on March 1, 1973. A graduate of Fayetteville High School, Frances worked as a teller at National Bank and Trust in Wilmington. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, Frances was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Catherine Linker and Eleanor Lorene Waits. Left to cherish her memory are siblings: Alberta Hoggett, Thelma Morris, Dorothy Scheldmeyer, Wanda Link, and Robert (Terri) Morgan; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Clinton County Humane Society.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
