Gary Straight

Gary Ralph Straight, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Morgantown, WV on July 10, 1940, to Chester and Marguerite Straight, Gary was a man of great faith and devotion to God. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Marguerite Straight, his sister, Jean (John) Sproull, and son in-law, Gene Stinson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sue Straight; siblings, Glen (Carol) Straight and Ellen (Roger) Herring; children, Shelly Straight, Sheila Stinson, Chad (Rachel) Straight, and Eric (Gina) Straight; grandchildren, Justin (Hope) Straight, Sasha (Jordan) Squibb, Kaila Straight, Jordan (Jake) Nero, and Zach Straight; great-grandchildren, Grace, Dorothy, and Jansen; and grand-dogs, Sophie, Honey, Poppy, and Mocha.

Gary proudly served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1965 as a Signal Intelligence Analyst. Gary and Sue were married on August 6, 1962, and they shared a beautiful life together, traveling the United States and enjoying their time with family. Gary had a passion for riding his Harley, loved classic cars, and spent countless hours doodling and completing crosswords. He was known for his love of watching Sunday golf, a hobby he enjoyed throughout his life.

Gary was a man of deep faith, faithfully attending Faith Family Church, where he expressed his love for God and his family. His unwavering devotion to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in everything he did. He will be remembered as a selfless, kind-hearted man who always put others first, spreading love wherever he went—and offering the most memorable, heartwarming hugs.

Gary’s family and friends will gather to honor his memory at Family Faith Church (64 Williams Rd, Wilmington, OH 45177) on Thursday, May 15, 2025. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM . Arrangements are under the direction of Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.
