Glenn E. Kenney, 85, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2016 at Autumn Years in Sabina.

Born in New Burlington, Glenn was the son of John W. and Velma Davis Kenney. Retired from General Motors, Glenn worked as an inspector for quality control. He was an Army Veteran, a member of Dove Church and the American Legion in Wilmington. Glenn enjoyed his affiliation with ‘Clinton County REACT’ and was proud of his Master Gardener Certification.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Billie Hopkins Kenney. Also left to cherish his memory are children, Debbie (Wayne) Wilkin of Wilmington, Tony Kenney of New Vienna, and Alice (Rob) Hill of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Mandy (Canaan) Martin, Marissa Wilkin, Sarah (Josh) Bratton, Eli (Ashley) Kenney, Justin and Jeremy Grimes, and Derek Hill; great-grandchildren, Dakota, James, Jacob, Jude, Madelyn and Matthew; siblings, Barbara (Paul) Parker and Dean (Carolee) Kenney; sister in law Suzanne Kenney; brothers in law, Ronnie Parsell and Ralph George; and lifetime friends, Don Wyatt and Paul Coon.

He was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Tammy Kenney; sister, Marilyn George; and brother, Marvin Kenney.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10, from 11-1, when a funeral service will begin at Dove Church in Wilmington. Burial to follow at Clinton Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Dove Church, Community Care Hospice, and Autumn Years Nursing Center.


Funeral services for Glenn were held on March 10, 2016 at Dove Church, Wilmington.  Dave Hinman and Steve Collett officiated the service.  Serving as pall bearers were: Derek Hill, Rob Hill, Eli Kenney, Tony Kenney, Canaan Martin, Jacob Martin, James Martin, and Chuck Massie.  Jude Martin served as the guest book attendant.  Military honors were conducted at Clinton Memory Gardens by the American Legion, Post 49.

Service: Thursday, March 10, 1:00 PM at the church
