Irvin D. Pollock went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2026. He was born June 29, 1941 in Bourneville, Ohio to Arthur and Helen (Goodwin) Pollock. He was raised and spent most of his young life in the Greenfield area. Irvin was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church, Wilmington, Ohio and also enjoyed attending First Baptist Church, Umatilla, when wintering in Florida.

He was a 1961 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. He retired after working 47 years at Ferno Washington (FERNO), starting with them in 1960 at Greenfield, and moving with them to Wilmington in 1972. Irvin did construction work, renovating houses with Harold Ramey for several years and also helped family and friends with their construction jobs and loved every minute of it.

In 1984 he married his wife, Carol (Long), and they had 41 happy years together, cruising, traveling and spending the winters in Florida. He had 5 grandchildren who he loved and 9 great grandchildren who he said were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Tammy Smith (Eric Reichle), Westerville; step-daughters: Laura (Dan) Binegar, Martinsville, and Lisa Gilbert, Monticello, IN; step-son, Matt (Sally) Haines, Clarksville. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Amber (Dan) McNulty, Tara (Kyle) Oberlin, Zachary (Kyanna) Gilbert, Cheyenne (Tony) Wood and Beau Balon; great grandchildren: Keegan, Lawson, Harlen and Hazel McNulty, Talen Oberlin, Aiden Lawson, Evelyn Wood, Kingston Bowsher and Wrenley Gilbert; along with his brother, Harry (Sue) Pollock; sisters-in-law: Virginia Pollock, Dorothy LaPine and Barbara Long; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Pollock.

Mr. Pollock is to be cremated and there will be no services.
