James G. Cassidy

James G. Cassidy, age 77, of Columbus, and formerly of Sabina, earned his wings December 25, 2021.

James was born June 2, 1944, the son of Betty Davis and Gerald Cassidy.

He served in our United States Navy.

He is survived by his “Best Friend” and loving wife Barbara “Bobbie” Baird Cassidy. They were married November 6, 1965. They raised three children Cathy (Cassidy) Horton and husband Travis; Mark Cassidy and his special lady, Linda Light and daughter Terri Deaton. Jim leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Kyli, Kari, Ryan, Christopher, Ashley, Andrea, Emma, Travis Jr. and Taylor; along with 11 great Grandchildren and his special dog “Molly”. Also surviving are his aunts: Anna Lee Fife and Shirley (Cassidy) Smith and her husband Bill; uncle Allen Cassidy and several cousins.

At the family’s request, there will be no public visitation or services at the funeral home, but all are more than welcome to pay their respects and gather with the family at the Sabina Cemetery, Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. to deliver James to the Lord and join the for a graveside committal service.

The family requests no flowers but you can donate to your favorite charity or the Wilmington Humane Society in James' memory.
