Joann "Jody" (Foster) Gray

Joann ’Jody’ F. Gray, age 95, of Wilmington, passed peacefully the morning of December 25, 2023.

Born in Sabina on December 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gavin and Elizabeth Myler Foster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gray, in 2010.

Jody was a 1946 Sabina High School graduate and went on to earn a bachelor's in business from Miami University. Jody would become a devoted homemaker while helping in the family businesses: Fosters Department Store and The Daisy Patch. She was active in the United Methodist Church, a member of the Progress Club, and loved to play cards with her friends.

Jody is survived by her children: Susie (Jon) Peil, Thayne (Erin Wiggins) Gray, Gavin (Sharon) Gray, Brian Gray and Kery (Tim Walsh) Gray. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Mary Gray, Joshua (fiancé Martina Flemings) Gray, Reece Gray, J. J. Peil, and Ben Peil; great-grandchildren: J.J. and C.J. Gray; sisters in-law, Betty Foster and Sharon Trivett; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jody was preceded in death by her brother, G. Thomas Foster, Jr.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 11am until 1pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery.
