On the12th day of May of 2023, Karen Kay Kingery Hall, 'Peachie', devoted wife, mother, Mamaw, sister and friend passed away after battling Parkinson’s Disease since 1997. She was 70 years young, born February 5, 1953, to Roy and Lucy Miller Kingery in Jasper Township, where she spent most of her life. Karen worked as a waitress, restaurant manager, store manager at TravelCenters of America for 32 years.
She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowerbeds, cooking and crafting. Karen started attending the Church of Christ in South Solon, Ohio in 2006 where she became very active in her church community. Volunteering to drive the more elderly folks to appointments or revivals. She would stay up half of the night making noodles or baking cakes for a church carry-in. She was baptized in 2009 and she was so excited that had found her path. Karen later began attending The Burning Bush church in Washington CH, then most recently had visited Center Christian Church as Karen enjoyed motivational sermons and fellowship. Karen also loved going to see her grandchildren and being engaged in their interests. She also loved her country music of Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson and watching reruns of Gunsmoke on T.V.
She is survived by her husband of 40+ years, Roger Hall, whom she married, February 5, 1983. Daughters Mindy (Shawn) Wilson and Amanda (Jason) Wickline, Son in Law, James Jones. Grandchildren, Lucas (Lexus)Morris, Samantha, Karlie and Clare Jones, Jakeb Cockerill, Austin & Kyle Wickline and Samantha Wilson. Great grandchildren, Alexis, Kasen, Konner, Amelia Morris and Lucy Jones. Sisters, Linda (Jeff) Runk, Cindy Kingery, brother Roy “Jed” (Pam) Kingery, devoted niece Bonnie Sims, as well as stepchildren; Jami (Ron) Winhoven and April (James) Lyle and several nieces and nephews, sister in laws.
Karen is preceded in death by her twin daughters, Karen and Kay Glispie, her parents, daughter Lucinda M. Glispie Jones, sister Cleva Haffner, grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws Bob and Jessie Hall and several close friends.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at the Littleton Funeral Home on Wednesday May 17, 2023, from Noon until the time of service at 1:30 P.M. with interment to follow. Karen will forever be at the side her parents and daughter, Lucinda, at the Milledgeville – Plymouth Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation for continued research or ProMedica Hospice of Ohio.
