Kaye Gordon, age 78, of Kenwood Ohio at Kenwood Terrace and Healthcare Facility, passed away May 14, 2025, in the Hospice Cincinnati Blue Ash facility.
Christened Ruby Kaye Gordon, born in Montgomery County, Dayton, Ohio. Kaye grew up in Sabina, Ohio, daughter of Charles Frederick Gordon and Madonna Hernly Gordon, graduated from Sabina High School in 1965, received her Bachelor's of Arts from Wilmington College in 1969, and then continued her higher education by completing a Master of Music from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Kaye is survived by her brother, Fred Gordon of Kodak, Tennessee and his wife Margaret, two nephews, Charlie Gordon and wife Saida living in Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Eric Gordon living in Dade City, Florida, 4 grandnephews, 4 grandnieces, and 5 great grandnephews.
Kaye’s favorite careers included being employed with Cincinnati Symphony and then later with the Indian Hills School District with fond memories of both. While living in Kenwood Terrace she maintained relationships with friends from both careers, several who frequently visited her, ran errands and ensured she was well cared for. In her later years Kaye lived vicariously through her brother’s and two nephew’s families, travels, and stories. She loved their pictures, souvenirs from their travels, and keeping up with all the family and friends’ birthdays and holidays.
According to her wishes, Kaye’s remains were donated to the University of Cincinnati Medical school as also were her mothers.
