Kenneth V. Hill of Wilmington was born November 7, 1927, and passed from this earth March 4, 2022, while a resident of Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville.
He was born in Pleasant Plain of Warren County to Clelly and Hettie Yates Hill.
Kenneth was a 1945 graduate of Adams High School where he played basketball and was senior class president. After a short stint in the Army, he married Ruth Florea of Sligo. He began his career as a farm machinery mechanic for Gumley Implement. Kenneth later owned Hill Implement Company on West Main Street in Wilmington, where he sold Minneapolis Moline. He also worked for International Harvester and retired while employed at Faris Implement in New Vienna. Retirement led Kenny to the Elks Golf Course, where he worked on the equipment and met many dear friends while playing golf. He and his wife, Ruth, won The Mayor’s Trophy in 1986, 1993 and 1994. In recent years Kenny and Ruth were regular patrons of Gold Star Chili... so much so, that their children referred to it as “The Club”.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ruth, and four children: Kay (Danny) Collins of Wilmington, Rev. Dwain (Ruth) Hill of London, Keith (Melanie) Hill of Wilmington, and Kathy (Eric) Keltner of New Vienna. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include brother, Ray (Mairead) of Goodyear, AZ.
Kenny was preceded in death by a brother, Carl and grandson, Brian Collins.

The funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in the Springfield Friends Cemetery.
Care of Kenneth has been entrusted to Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina.
