Larry Burnett, 84, of Sabina, OH, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born April 7, 1941, in Washington Court House, OH, Larry is preceded in death by parents Glenn and Libby Burnett, brother Joe Burnett, and survived by his brother Mike Burnett. Larry was a devoted husband and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sara (Day) Burnett.

He was the proud father of five children and is survived by all: Andy (Lisa), Amy, Sam (Ann) Tom (Jenny), and Jake (Beth). Larry was blessed with 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Larry will be remembered for his love of music. He cherished his years with friends and bandmates at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, and making music with his kids and grandkids during family gatherings.

Larry loved to fish and likely spent more hours untangling his kid's and grandkid's lines than with his own in the water. On one family outing, he caught an 8 1/2-pound bass, earning him the title of 1979 Ohio Bassmaster of the Year.

He was an avid runner and logged thousands of miles on the back roads of Clinton County. He completed a marathon at age 39, and ran, along with his wife Sara, well into his 70's.

Above all else, he spent his life providing for his wife and family and serving God.

According to Larry's wishes, a service will not be held.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Larry's honor to the Highland County Senior Citizens Center.
