Leah Kathleen Damron, age 46, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Born on December 3, 1979, in Wilmington, Ohio, Leah was the daughter of the late Charles Miller and Connie Damron McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jeff McKenzie, and her grandparents, Helen and Roby Damron.
Leah lived life with a vibrant spirit and a personality that was hard to overlook. She had a quick wit, a contagious laugh, and a way of bringing her own unique energy wherever she went. Independent and determined, Leah stayed true to herself and was never afraid to speak her mind. She will be remembered for her authenticity, creativity, and the lasting impression she left on those who knew her.
She found joy in the things she loved most. Leah had a lifelong passion for music, drawing, and expressing herself through art. She loved horses, animals, shopping, enjoyed spending time playing video games, and never turned down sweets, peanut butter, or KFC. More than anything, she loved her family. In recent years, her greatest joy was her granddaughters, Alaina and Ari'yana, who were often the highlight of her conversations.
Leah is survived by her children, Kaitlyn Binegar of Texas, Austin Williams of Wilmington, Ohio, and David (Natasha) Foster of Wilmington, Ohio; her granddaughters, Alaina and Ari'yana; her mother, Connie Damron McKenzie; her sister, Jessie Damron, and her children, Lili, Alexis, and Roger; her brother, Jeffrey McKenzie; her sisters, Rhonda (Dane) Wells and Melissa (Jeff) Colley; her brothers, Charles (Verneda) Miller, Steven Miller, Mark Miller, and Michael Miller; her nieces and nephews, Charles Jr., Leyna, Arial, MJ, and Mikey; along with many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Wilmington Assembly of God. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a visitation with family and friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
