Marilyn K. (Johnson) Lewis

Marilyn K. Lewis, age 80, of Greenfield, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Born on October 8, 1942, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Helen Kearns Johnson.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, David Lewis, in 2005.

A devoted homemaker, Marilyn stayed at home with her children for many years before becoming a rural route mail carrier.  She was a member at the Greenfield Church of Christ in Christian Union.  Marilyn was a strong Christian woman and very active in her church community.  She was extremely generous, enjoyed cooking and baking.  Above all, her family was the center of her world.  She found great joy in being involved in her grandchildren’s lives.

Marilyn is survived by her children: James Leo (Beth Ann) Lewis of Greenfield, Randall Lee (Melinda) Lewis and Joanna Kay (Jason) Griffith, all of Leesburg.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jotham, Katelyn and Joshua Lewis, Ellionna and Emily Lewis, and Mikayla and Madison Griffith; brothers: Eric (Marilyn), David (Kathy) and Harold (Diane) Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by brothers Jerry and Herman.

Memorial contributions in support of a missionary or mission work would be greatly appreciated.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 12Noon until the time of service at 2pm.  Burial will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery.
