Marilynn L. (Sams) Jacober

Marilynn Sams Jacober, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday January 22, 2023, at Wilmington Nursing and Rehab.

Born August 10, 1938, in Pleasant Plain, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Betty Brill Sams.

Marilynn is proceeded in death by her husband, Irvin Jacober and siblings: Ben Sams, Marla Schweikart, Butch Sams, Cheryl Stowe, and Pete Sams.

Marilynn is survived by her sisters: Cindy (James) Hough of Eustis, FL, Pam Lane of Charlestown, SC; brothers: Jerry (Myrna) Sams of Loveland, OH and Alan (Rona Kay) Sams of Wilmington, OH; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Marilynn had 9 siblings, 29 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

She retired from Avon in Springdale, Ohio, after 25 years. She also worked at the Walmart in Lebanon, Ohio, for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was always pitching in to lend a helping hand. Marilynn also took pride in her gardening, canning, and cooking.

A special thank you to the staff at Wilmington Nursing & Rehab for the loving care she received for the past four years.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023, at the Memorial Chapel at the Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford.
