Marvin “Curly” Jones, 85, of Jamestown, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016 at St. Catherine’s after being a patient for one day.
Born August 28, 1930 in Clinton County, the son of Charles and Lillian Houseman Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera J. Daughtrey Jones on April 8, 2016.
He attended Bowersville Schools and worked at the Bowersville Elevator in his younger years. He also always farmed and raised livestock. Curly retired from Greeneview Schools and, in retirement, was associated with Pottery Barn and local flea markets.
Curly is survived by his children: Brenda (Bob) Merritt of Jeffersonville, Bonnie (Jon) Creamer of Washington C.H. and Barry (Cheryl) Jones of Mansfield.
Also left to cherish his memory are six grandchildren: Jason, Dawn, Krista, Amy Jon Wesley and Mindy, and ten great grandchildren.
He was the last of 8 siblings.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery Bowersville at the convenience of the family.
