Mary Jane Watson

Mary Jane Watson, 86 of Wilmington, passed away on Friday evening June 10, 2016 at her home.

Born in Adams County May 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lena Pearl Robbins Hughes and Raymond “Steamboat” Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Benjamin Watson, on November 4, 2014.
Mary Jane was a graduate of Port William High School and a past member of Chester Friends Meeting.
She was in food service most of her life; she and her husband owned and operated a catering service and different restaurants including “Memory Lane”.  She also had an Antique Shop, helped occasionally at the Wilmington Library, and the YMCA, in addition to being a fulltime homemaker.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Tom) Short of Franklin, Janie (Jim) Luck, and Sue Ann Watson, all of Wilmington.  Also left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and two brothers, Raymond and Charles “Billy” Hughes. She was preceded by her son William Benjamin (Benny) Jr.
Friends may call at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon when the funeral service will take place.
Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
