Melissa 'Missi' D. (Snider) Jenkins

Melissa Dawn Snider Jenkins, age 49, of Lynchburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 18, 2019.

Born in Washington Court House, on September  1, 1969, she was the only daughter of Carl and April Snider.

She is survived by her daughters, Makayla and Timella Jenkins; her mother, April Snider; her brother, Brian Snider, his wife Bethany, and their children, Shelby and Reed;  her mother and father in law Howard and Freda Jenkins and many family members, special friends and church family.

Missi was preceded in death by her father, Carl Snider; her brother, Carl David Snider; her grandparents;  and former husband, Tim Jenkins.

Missi worked in the banking industry for several years, most recently as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Wilmington Savings Bank. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio Christian University. She was hard working and dedicated to giving her daughters a good life, as they were her world.

Missi battled pancreatic cancer for over two and half years with courage, grace and never ending concern for her daughters, family, and friends right until the very end. Her journey was long and hard, but she faced it with indescribable bravery.

A celebration of Missi’s life will be held at the Sabina Church of Christ on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 7:00 p.m.  Friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to the service.  Missi requested that everyone wear white or bright colors to her celebration.  The service will be officiated by Rick Godlove, with family and friends celebrating her with song and sharing memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations for her cremation and to help with immediate expenses for the girls would be greatly appreciated. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
