Melva L. (Flowers) Slone

Melva L. Slone, age 85, of Sabina, passed peacefully Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Born in Washington Court House on July 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Dessie Ater Fowers.  Melva was raised by her step-parents, the late Harley and Florence Goings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Slone, in 2000.

Melva was a 1952 Sabina High School graduate.  She worked at and retired from MAC Tool, as a Tool Crib Operator .  Melva was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ in Christian Union.  She was also active in the Sabina Senior Citizens and Women of the Moose.

She leaves behind four sons: Ryan (Kathy) of Springboro, Jay (Kathy, deceased) of Sabina, John (Lisa) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Jeff (Maedeane Warden) of Wilmington.  Also left to cherish her memory are 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Melva was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ludeke.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
