Opal Fisher

April 4, 1930 — November 23, 2025

Washington Court House

Opal Faye (Renner) Fisher, to those who loved her, Bobo, passed away in Washington Court House on Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was 95 years old.

Born April 4, 1930, to Eunice Mason Renner and Eurben C. Renner in Reading, Ohio. She was the second of three daughters, Bonnie (Renner) Weaver and Jeri (Renner) Stewart. Opal grew up in the city of Reading, where her father was a police officer and fire fighter, before moving to a farm, where she enjoyed working outside with her father.

Opal Faye married Charles A. Fisher on May 7, 1950. They shared just shy of 73 anniversaries together. They resided in Reesville, where they raised two children, Kathy Lynn (John) Johnson and Michael Duane (Carla) Fisher.

Opal and Charles loved to travel together and took many vacations to see the country. She loved planting and raising beautiful flowers in the summer and quilted in the winter. She was a talented artist and loved to draw and paint. In her younger years, she went to school to learn to fly an airplane. The greatest joy of her life was helping raise all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Teaching, loving and nurturing children was her passion. She was always there for her family and built a strong foundation for her loved ones to grow up and become who they are. Opal’s teachings extended to her family church, the Sabina Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, was the church librarian, and a deaconess. Opal always made herself available whenever needed.

The family Bobo built will miss her greatly. Her wisdom of 95 years still was offered to the very end to her loved ones and to all that encountered her. Even her caregivers were blessed with her advice and knowledge. Bobo’s strong Christian faith and discipline guided her through life with poise and grace.

Bobo leaves behind a family who cherishes her: children, Kathy (John) Johnson and Michael (Carla) Fisher; grandchildren: Jennifer (Brent) Marshall, Joey (Melanie) Johnson, Jonathan (Kayli) Johnson, Toni Fisher (deceased), Dianna Puskas, Shannon Fisher and Megan (Scott) Styles. Also left to cherish her memory are great-grandchildren: Mattison Snow, Mason Snow, McKenna Snow, Luke Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Owen Johnson, Isla Johnson, Levi Puskas, and Micah Styles; and great-great grandchildren: Haddox Snow, Henslee Snow, and Harlynn Snow.

Before her passing, she was asked ‘What is a good piece of advice?’ Bo said, “Hug your loved ones every day. Make wonderful memories with your grandchildren, they will never forget them.”

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Sabina Church of Christ (185 S. College St., Sabina, OH 45169).

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 1pm until the time of service at 3pm. Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
