Patricia A (Brewer) Hottinger

Patricia Ann Hottinger (Brewer), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly at her home near Wilmington, OH, on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the age of 79.  Patty was born March 8, 1944, to Calvin and Ruby Brewer of Sabina, Ohio.  She was a Sabina High graduate of the class of 1962 and married Paul Hottinger January 1964.

Patty developed a strong work ethic at an early age.  She was a dedicated employee of Clinton Memorial Hospital for over 29 years.  After CMH she continued working in the medical field for an additional 25 years in the offices of Dr. Ruth Hayes and Drs. Lawley and Aschi of Wilmington.  In July of 2020 she decided it was time to retire and do more of the fun things that she enjoyed; camping, bowling and spending time with family.

Patty and her husband Paul will forever be remembered for their annual pig roasts that they would host at their country home in the fall of the year.  Family, friends and coworkers would gather for a day of fun, fellowship and great food.  Everyone would look forward to this event each year.

Patty was the person that always took care of others, never asking for anything in return. All you had to do was call and she would be there to help.  Her heart was filled with love and compassion for others and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Paul Hottinger; children, Jefferey (Cheryl) of Wilmington, and Kimberly (DJ) Ferguson of New Vienna; grandchildren, JD Hottinger, Katie Hottinger, Holden Ferguson and Hannah Ferguson; great-grandson Kayden Hargis; sisters, Wanda Whiting, LaVonne Whitenack, Jeanie Wiedlick and Marty Witham along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Patty in death, along with her parents, were her in-laws Ray and Cora Hottinger of Wilmington; sisters, Charlene Stanforth and Goldie Shoemaker; brother, Chuck Brewer; and nephew Bill Thatcher.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 11am – 1pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Clinton Memory Garden, Wilmington.
