Patricia 'Patty' J. Reese

Patricia J. “Patty” Reese, age 82 of Sabina, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Thursday afternoon, November 6, 2025. 

She was born April 27, 1943, in Sabina, the daughter of the late Ottie and Edna (Gregg) Pauley. 

Patty was a 1961 graduate of Sabina High School, was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ, and enjoyed being involved with the Sabina Alumni Association. She played softball for many years and loved watching and supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She was a dedicated Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeye fan. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who treasured spending time with her family. 

Patty is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, James E. “Jim” Reese, whom she married on October 14, 1961. She is also survived by three daughters, Dianna (Rob) Hanshell, Debbie Reese and Jill (Bruce) Lieurance, all of Sabina; four grandchildren, Brittany (Tom) Rowlands of Morrow, Brandon (Chelsey) Wilson, Macy Evans and Bridget Lieurance, all of Sabina; four great grandchildren, Keira Krabbe Schoenberger and Stella Keith, both of Maineville, and Addison Wilson and Dawson Wilson, both of Sabina; two sisters, Barbara Wilson of Sabina and Peg (Sam) Dixon of Wilmington; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew A. Krabbe; and a granddaughter, Bryston N. Lieurance; as well as siblings Bertha Ramsey, Arthur Pauley, Betty Beedy, Mary Smith, Gladys Taylor, Bobby Pauley, Dorothy Wilson, Wayne Pauley and Dick Pauley. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at the Sabina Church of Christ, when a funeral service will begin. Troy Villars will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sabina Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabina Church of Christ, 185 South College Street, Sabina, Ohio 45169. Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina is serving the family.
