Patti P. Botts, age 93, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday morning, May 1, 2023, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Morrow.
Born June 8, 1927, in Liberty Township, she was the daughter of Lee and Jessie Belvin Powers Wolary.
A graduate of Port William High School, Patti was a lifelong, devoted homemaker. Patti always said she had retired from cooking. Additionally, she worked at Wendy’s “just for fun” until she was 77 years old.
Patti was a volunteer at Clinton Memorial, Wilmington Senior Center, the Women’s Center and Cape May. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patti is survived by children: Bonnie Sue (Chris) Adkins of Roger City MI, Beth Ann Yelverton of Wilmington, Craig Botts of Wilmington and Joel Botts of Williamsburg. Also left to cherish her memory are 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and her sister, Bonnie McDonald of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by husbands Virgil Botts and William Beckett; a daughter, Pauline and a brother, Don.
A celebration of Patti’s life will be held in the future and burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William.
Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Alzheimer’s Association.
