Paul E. Hottinger

Paul E Hottinger, age 80, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties surrounded by family. Paul’s heart never fully healed after the loss of his beloved wife, Patty on October 30, 2023. It is profoundly fitting that he was called home on what would have been their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Paul was born on February 15, 1945, to Ernest Ray and Cora Cornelia (Morris) Hottinger in Highland County, Ohio.

Paul was a devoted farmer and loved being outdoors. His focus during planting and harvest was undeterrable until the job was done. He worked several occupations in addition to farming including Ferno Washington, carpentry and working with other farmers in the area. He and Patty enjoyed bowling leagues, fishing, camping and their annual hog roast. Until his health began to fail him, he was always on the go. Paul had a heart for service and was always lending a helping hand.

Paul thoroughly enjoyed visits from friends, family and neighbors. He loved his loyal dogs and Milky Way candy bars.

Paul is survived by his children Jefferey (Cheryl) of Wilmington and Kimberly (DJ) Ferguson of New Vienna; grandchildren, JD Hotitnger, Katie Hottinger, Holden (KayLee) Ferguson, Hannah Ferguson; great-grandchildren Kayden Hargis; brothers Floyd and John (Beverly) Hottinger and cherished friends, Larry Stanholz, Dale Stokes and Bobby Webb.

Preceding Paul in death, along with his wife, Patricia Brewer Hottinger, and parents, were brother Bill Hottinger; sisters Emily Jenkins and Ilene Secrest and sister-in-law Judy Hottinger; along with his mother and father-in-law Calvin and Ruby Brewer.

Friends may call at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Clinton Memory Gardens.
