Peggy Ross

Peggy Secrest Ross, age 86, of South Salem, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Born on January 25, 1940, she was the daughter of Ernest Donald and Dixie Mildred Funk Secrest.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert Ross, on January 6, 2020. The two were married for 64 years at the time of his passing.

She was a devoted mother and homemaker with many hobbies. She loved being a seamstress, where she specialized in wedding dresses, prom/homecoming dresses, and church costumes. She also loved to cook and bake. Peggy also enjoyed spending her time in the garden and loved all of her flowers.

Peggy is survived by children: Anthony W. (Brenda) Ross of Chillicothe, Teddy L. Ross of Peebles, Terry I. (Lisa Perrone) Ross of South Salem, and Tina (Chris Davis) Ross of South Salem. Also left to cherish her memory are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marcella Ross of Wilmington, and a host of extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Tracey Ross, on June 25, 1985.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery.
